Company History

The Company was founded by two University of Alabama graduates and incubated at BIZTECH, Huntsville, Alabama's technology and alternative fuels business incubator. In January 2008, the founders recruited, Mark P. Petroff, a veteran clean-tech entrepreneur to lead the Company as CEO. Shortly afterwards, the Company finalized a six-year long feedstock supply arrangement, selected its first production partner, closed its first round of financing, and began biodiesel production.

EnerSight utilizes re-cycled waste vegetable oil (WVO) as the basic feedstock supply to create our biodiesel fuel. The WVO is collected from over a thousand restaurants across the Southeast as part of a multi-year long supply engagement with a national feedstock supplier. We sell our ASTM grade biodiesel to both domestic wholesalers, institutional buyers, and international brokers.
